Amanda Wyss (* 24. November 1960 in Manhattan Beach , California ) is an American actress .

Life

Wyss began her career in the early 1980s. Her film debut was in 1981 in television - Horror When walls kill on the side of Parker Stevenson and Slim Pickens . She was first seen in television productions and series before she appeared in a successful feature film for the first time alongside Sean Penn , Jennifer Jason Leigh and Judge Reinhold in the comedy I think I stand in the forest . In 1984 she played in Nightmare - Murderous Dreams the role of Christina Gray in the first film of the A Nightmare on Elm Street film series. She had other film roles in 1985 in Lanny and Silverado and 1989 in Powwow Highway . From the early 1990s, her film engagements declined and she was mostly seen in television formats.

Wyss had guest roles in the 1990s on a number of television series including Cheers , Back to the Past , Murder Is Her Hobby, and Walker, Texas Ranger . She was also seen in the recurring role of Bridgit Cagney in the crime series Cagney & Lacey . In the first season of Highlander , she played the reporter Randi McFarland in seven episodes . From the mid-2000s, her television appearances became less frequent, but she was again seen in two feature films in 2009 with The Graves and 2010 with Deadly Impact . In addition to a few supporting roles since 2014, she played the main role in the 2016 horror film The Id .
