Amber Rayne (born September 19, 1984 in Detroit , Michigan as Meghan Wren , † April 2, 2016 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American porn actress .

Life

Rayne was born in Detroit and had Scottish , Italian, and Cherokee ancestry. She attended California State University, Los Angeles , where she studied theater, dance, and art history. She initially worked as an extra for film and television.

In 2006 Rayne made her debut in the hardcore industry. By May 2015 she acted in 472 films; Among other things, she starred in Night of the Giving Head and in the award-winning porn film The 8th Day . She worked for the studios Evil Angel Productions , Ninn Worx and Vivid Entertainment Group and with directors Tom Byron , John Leslie and Axel Braun . She has also worked as an actress in 54 BDSM and fetish productions for the online company Kink.com . In 2012 she was seen in the erotic film Birthday Sex on television, which, however, was not received positively. In 2015, she and other women accused the porn actor James Deen of rape .

Rayne developed non-Hodgkin lymphoma and uterine cancer in 2007 , but survived the disease. She died of a cocaine overdose on the night of April 2-3, 2016, aged 31 at her home in Sun Valley , Los Angeles .
