America Olivo

America Olivo (* 5. January 1978 in Van Nuys , California as America Olivo Athena ) is an American actress and musician . She starred in several movies including Friday the 13th , Bitch Slap , Alexandre Aja's Maniac , No One Lives - No One Survived! or Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation .

life and career

Ameríca Olivo was born in Van Nuys, California in 1978. Shortly after graduating from Juilliard School in New York City with a bachelor's degree , Olivo returned to her native Los Angeles , where she formed the band Soluna with Aurora Rodriguez, T Lopez and Jessica Castellanos. From 2002 to 2004 the band gave various public performances, including several appearances in US television series such as The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn , Livin 'Large and HotPop . In 2004 a 30-minute TV film about the group was released. When the band Soluna finally broke up in late 2004, Olivo focused on her career as an actress and solo musician.

In 2005, Olivo had successfully turned to television, starring in episodes of popular US series. Her appearances in the medium include Cuts , Jake in Progress , How I Met Your Mother , Dr. House , General Hospital , Criminal Intent , Navy CIS: LA or Warehouse 13

Since 2008, Olivo has also been seen in numerous movies. Often in roles in the horror film genre like The Thirst: Blood War , Neighbor , Friday the 13th , The Last Resort , Bitch Slap , Circle or in 2012 in Franck Khalfoun's Alexandre Ajas Maniac alongside Elijah Wood .

America Olivo appeared on the cover of Playboy's June issue in 2009 .
