Amir Roughani

Amir Roughani (born July 15, 1975 in Isfahan ) is a German- Iranian entrepreneur .

Career

In the summer of 1987, at the age of eleven, Roughani flew from Iran to Berlin during the Iran-Iraq war , where his three-year-old brother, whom he had visited a year earlier, had been living for a year. His parents wanted to prevent him from being drafted into the military as a teenager. According to his own statements, at that time he had no more than a suitcase and 100 DM in cash. After applying for political asylum , he lived with his brother in a children's home and attended the Thomas-More-Oberschule, a focus school in Berlin-Neukölln . At fourteen Roughani came as an educator for Sport Bowling , a year later he became youth champion, later he joined the bowling club Rot-Weiss Berlin in the bowling league (Bohle) on.

Five years after his arrival in Berlin Roughani began at the pharmaceutical company Schering AG training as a chemical technician . After completing his apprenticeship, while working in shifts, he made up his technical college entrance qualification and began studying process engineering , which he broke off after just one semester. Instead, he completed a degree in industrial engineering . Then first Roughani worked for a Munich-based service IT and changed at the height of the dotcom bubble as Key Account Manager for encryption technologies to Kirch group . After its bankruptcy 2002 Roughani made with a bank loan, and a loan of his parents own and founded in Garching near Munich , AXIS Engineering GmbH, the 2004 fifteen employees as a development service for BMW worked. In 2008 he renamed the company to Vispiron AG and gradually diversified the portfolio to include measurement and update devices for cars , IT and mechatronic systems as well as measurement technology for the mechanical engineering and automotive industries such as B. the development of an electronic logbook . In 2007, Roughani was awarded the Bavarian Founders' Prize in the category “Newcomer of the Year” from the Bavarian Savings Bank Association. In 2009, Roughani was named “Career of the Year in Medium-Sized Enterprises” by Junge Karriere magazine . 2014 he received the business award Entrepreneur of the Year Award. In 2016 Roughani was one of the main actors in the u. a. at the Vancouver International Film Festival award-winning documentary Power to Change - Die EnergieRebellion .
