The Bretten District Court is a court of ordinary jurisdiction and one of eight District Courts (AG) in the district of the Karlsruhe Regional Court .

The seat of the court is the large district town of Bretten im Kraichgau . The 161 km² judicial district includes the area of ​​the city of Bretten and the communities of Gondelsheim , Kürnbach , Oberderdingen , Sulzfeld and Zaisenhausen with more than 50,000 inhabitants.

The foreclosure and administrative proceedings as well as the family matters from the district of the Bretten District Court are assigned to the Bruchsal District Court . The Karlsruhe District Court performs the tasks of the insolvency court . Dunning proceedings are handled by the Stuttgart District Court as the central dunning court .

The court is located in the building at Obere Kirchgasse 9 . This is an extension to the old office building built for the district court in 1887/1888.
