District Court Pforzheim

The Pforzheim District Court is a court of ordinary jurisdiction . It is one of eight local courts (AG) in the Karlsruhe regional court district .

Seat and District of the Court

The seat of the court is the independent city of Pforzheim . The 425 km² judicial district extends to the area of ​​the city of Pforzheim as well as to that of the communities of Birkenfeld , Eisingen , Engelsbrand , Ispringen , Kämpfelbach , Keltern , Kieselbronn , Königsbach-Stein , Neuenbürg , Neuhausen , Neulingen , Niefern-Öschelbronn , Ölbronn-Dürrn , Remchingen , Straubenhardt and Tiefenbronn . More than 235,000 people live in it.

The court is located near Pforzheim Central Station in the building at Lindenstrasse 8 .

The building was built between 1956 and 1958 by the Pforzheim State Building Authority according to plans by the architect Heinrich Gremmelspacher (1910–1990). The interior with the wood inlay mural of the large conference room was designed by Willi Müller-Hufschmid (1890–1966). The building is now a listed building .

Superior courts

The Karlsruhe Regional Court is superordinate to the Pforzheim District Court. The competent higher regional court is the higher regional court in Karlsruhe .
