André Haddad

André Haddad BS (born September 20, 1930 in Roum , Lebanon ; † December 13, 2017 ) was a Lebanese clergyman and Melkite archbishop of Zahlé and Furzol .

Church career

On June 13, 1954, André Haddad was ordained a priest as a religious priest of the Melkite Basilians from the Most Holy Redeemer . On June 14, 1983 he was appointed Archbishop of Zahlé and Furzol to succeed Augustin Farah . The Patriarch of Antioch Archbishop Maximos V Hakim gave him on 7 August 1983 episcopal ordination , as co-consecrators assisted the archbishops Nicolas Hajj SDS of Banyas and Saba Youakim BS of Petra and Philadelphia .
