Andreas Dörfler (born April 21, 1984 in Regensburg ) is a German ice hockey player who has been under contract with EV Regensburg since 2007 .

Career

Dörfler began playing ice hockey as a child at EV Regensburg and went through the various age groups in the junior division until he switched to Jungadlern Mannheim in 2000/01 at the age of 16 and was used there in the Regionalliga Süd and in the DNL's premier season . After only one year he returned to Regensburg, where he got the chance to play in the men's team in the 2nd Bundesliga . In 2002 he was appointed to the U18 national team, for which he played eight games during the U18 World Cup . For the 2006/07 season , Dörfler moved to ETC Crimmitschau , but this time returned to Regensburg after just one year.

After the insolvency of EVR Eisbären Betriebs GmbH at the end of the 2007/08 season , he was involved in the rebuilding of his home club alongside Sven Gerike and has since worked not only as a player but also in the field of marketing and sales for EV Regensburg as part of his studies.
