Andreas von Below

Andreas von Below (born July 22, 1763 in Nurmis in Livonia's governorate , † September 27, 1820 in Perst ) was a Livonian land marshal .

Life

Andreas von Below was a member of the Baltic noble family von Below and son of Andreas von Below (1722-1800), Russian major and heir to Perst in Livonia as well as Gatz and Pennekow in Pomerania and Katharina Dorothea von Baranoff from the house of Russal (1741– 1764) in Estonia .

Career

Below owned the Perst estate from his father's inheritance and served in the Russian army , most recently as a captain . From 1804 to 1806 he was the oldest assessor of the third division I. of the Pernau Revision Commission, from 1806 to 1809 Below was district chief of the Pernau Landmilit, then from 1809 to 1812 Livonian Land Marshal. Due to illness, he was temporarily unable to exercise this office. In 1810 he was a delegate for the Livonian Noble Goods Loan Society in St. Petersburg .

family

Below married in 1791 in Meyris with Anna Dorothea Helene of Helffreich (1776-1821). The marriage produced two daughters and two sons:

  1. Karl Friedrich (1794–1867), Real Councilor of State and Vice-Governor of Estonia ⚭ 1822 Eva Wilhelmine von Stackelberg (1800–1882)
  2. Charlotte Helene Elisabeth (1796–1850) ⚭ 1814 Baron Konstantin von Ungern-Sternberg († 1836), heir to Goßenhof
  3. Alexander Ewald (1801–1882), Gichtelian ,member of the Reichstag and member of the Prussian mansion
  4. Johanna Dorothea Karolina (1803-1883)
