Segeč started in Wisła in January 2011 for the first time in the Slavic Cup and finished 28th in the sprint. At the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2011 in Liberec he achieved 49th place over 7.5 km freestyle, 41st place over 10 km classic and 21st place in sprint. The following year he came in at the Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck on the 27th place over 10 km classic, 17th place in the mixed relay and 14th place in the sprint. In the 2012/13 season he reached 73rd place over 10 km freestyle at the 2013 Junior World Championships in Liberec, 65th place in skiathlon and 48th place in sprint and 80th place at the 2013 Nordic World Ski Championships in Val di Fiemme in the sprint. In January 2013 he completed his first World Cup race in Liberec , which he finished in 68th place in the sprint. His best placings at the 2013 Winter Universiade in Lago di Tesero were 32nd place in the sprint and 11th place in the relay. At the Junior World Championships in 2014 in Fiemme Valley , he ran 48th place in the sprint and 20th place over 10 km classic. In the 2014/15 season he took his first victories in the Slavic Cup in Štrbské Pleso in the sprint and over 10 km classic and thus achieved fifth place in the overall standings. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2015 in Falun , he finished 57th in the sprint and 22nd place together with Peter Mlynár in the team sprint. In the following season he reached the Slavic Cup with six top ten placements, including second place over 15 km freestyle and first place over 10 km freestyle in Štrbské Pleso, third place overall. At the U23 World Championships in 2016 in Râşnov he came in 58th place over 15 km freestyle, 37th place in sprint and 31st place over 15 km classic. The following year he ran at the U23 World Championships in Soldier Hollow on 44th place over 15 km freestyle and on 20th place in sprint and at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti on 70th place in sprint, on 66th place over 15 km classic and 21st place together with Miroslav Šulek in the team sprint. In February 2017 he clinched his fourth victory in the Slavic Cup in Zakopane over 10 km classic. In the 2017/18 season he won the overall ranking of the Slavic Cup with seven top ten placements. His best results at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang were 53rd place in the 50 km mass start race and 22nd place together with Peter Mlynár in the team sprint.
