Angelika Kaufmann

Angelika Kaufmann (born March 9, 1935 in Sankt Ruprecht near Villach ) is an Austrian illustrator of children's books, anthologies and reading books. She lives in Vienna and in Warnungs , municipality of Vitis in the Waldviertel ( Lower Austria ).

biography

Angelika Kaufmann, who was born in Sankt Ruprecht near Villach, attended the University of Applied Arts in Vienna - specializing in commercial and illustration graphics and graduated in 1958 with a diploma.

Since 1963 she has been exhibiting - alone and with others - in Austria, other European countries, but also in the Republic of China and Japan . In 1970 she began to illustrate children's books and anthologies and is one of Austria's most renowned artists in this field.

Angelika Kaufmann is a member of the Secession in Vienna, the Carinthian Art Association, the Graz Authors' Assembly and the Intakt.
