Anikó Kapros (born November 11, 1983 in Budapest ) is a former Hungarian tennis player .
Career
Kapros, who loved to play hard courts, started playing tennis at the age of five.
In 2000 she triumphed in the finals of the jury singles and doubles at the Australian Open . In singles, she beat María José Martínez Sánchez 6: 2, 3: 6, 6: 2 and in doubles alongside Christian Wheeler, the pairing Lauren Barnikow / Erin Burdette 6: 3 and 6: 4.
Kapros won two singles and four doubles titles at the ITF Women's Circuit during her career . On the WTA Tour she reached a final with the AIG Japan Open Tennis Championships 2003 , which she lost to Marija Sharapova 6: 2, 2: 6 and 6: 7 5 .
For her country of birth, she took part in the 2004 Summer Olympics in doubles in Athens . At Melinda Czink's side , she lost in the first round to the Japanese pairing Akiko Morigami / Saori Obata 6: 3, 5: 7 and 3: 6.
Between 2002 and 2010 she played for the Hungarian Fed Cup team , for which she won three of their nine games.

She married in 2012 and had a daughter in 2013. Her mother, Anikó Kéry , won a bronze medal in the team all- round competition of gymnastics competitions at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich .
