Anna Christiana Hofbauer (born June 7, 1988 in Marktoberdorf ) is a German actress and musical artist .

life and career

Hofbauer joined the private drama school mobile under the direction of Monika Schubert at the age of seven and received piano and saxophone lessons. Even during her school days at the Marktoberdorf Music High School, she was part of the Ludwig2 ensemble .

From Stage Entertainment she received a scholarship for the Joop van den Ende Academy in Hamburg, where she studied acting and singing from 2007 to 2010. I.a. she received lessons from Jürgen Schwalbe , Patrick Elias , Robin Brosch , Nik Breidenbach , Eva Maria Tersson, Christian Schleicher.

Directly after graduation Hofbauer was the Schauspielbühnen Stuttgart , the Theater Heilbronn and at the Graz Opera engaged. In the Kemptner version of the "Ludwig" musical, she played Princess Sophie and was also the show's dance captain . In 2012, the singer went on a European tour for a few months as the first cast of the female lead Christine Daaé with the musical The Phantom of the Opera and then embodied the Argentine national heroine Evita in the musical of the same name at the State Theater Oldenburg from 2014 to 2016 .

For the big resumption of the musical Ludwig2 at the original location in Füssen ( Ludwigs Festspielhaus ), Anna returned to her homeland as the first cast of Empress Elisabeth, playing alongside Uwe Kröger , Kevin Tarte , Rene Kollo and Matthias Stockinger .

Immediately after the summer in Füssen, the singer was the first cast Constanze Mozart in the musical Mozart! For a co-production of the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien International and La Belle Musical . involved. In this role first appeared in the Theater am Marientor in Duisburg and then celebrated great success in Shanghai at Shanghai Culture Square.

From 2017 to 2018 Anna thrilled audiences in Saarland, Stuttgart and Füssen in the role of Popess Johanna in the musical of the same name. In this role she will also be seen in Ludwig's Festspielhaus in Füssen in 2019 .

In 2014 Hofbauer became known as a Bachelorette in the TV show of the same name. The following year she and her partner won the dance show Stepping Out on RTL.

Anna's first solo album was released in September 2017 under the title MAKE IT COME TRUE. So the singer entered z. B. at the Festival of Unity at the Brandenburg Gate in front of 50,000 people and various international television programs.

In addition, the artist works as a spokeswoman for ARD and ZDF (e.g. Wetten, dass ..?!, Fernsehgarten, Echo, ESC, ..) and volunteers as an ambassador for the organization "Steps for children" for education and the sustainable well-being of children in Namibia.

Anna Hofbauer lives privately with her boyfriend, the actor Marc Barthel , in Berlin.
