Anne Lise Schubel b. Kammradt (born August 8, 1907 in Greifswald , † May 19, 1988 in Stralsund ) was a German anatomist.

Life

After she had passed the Abitur examination at the Kaiserin-Viktoria-Schule in Greifswald in 1927, Anne Lise Kammradt studied medicine at the Prussian University of Greifswald . After the state examination in 1932, she worked as a medical intern at the Bremen City Hospital and at the University Ear Clinic in Greifswald. There she met the ENT doctor Johannes Schubel . She married him in September 1934. In 1937 she became Dr. med. PhD. After she had given birth to five children by 1943 and her husband had died on December 4, 1950, she resumed scientific work. After 17 years as an assistant in the Greifswald pathology department, from January 1, 1951, she was the senior assistant in the Greifswald anatomy department. On January 15, 1954, she went to the Anatomical Institute of the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena for two years as a senior assistant . Since 1956 senior physician in anatomy at the University of Rostock , she qualified as a professor in Jena in 1957. In 1958, she was appointed lecturer in the anatomy department in Rostock and was given the provisional management of the institute. The Ernst Moritz Arndt University at home appointed her to the chair of anatomy on January 1, 1959 that same year . As director of the Anatomical Institute, she devoted herself to the comparative anatomy of dog and wolf skulls and the glucose inclusions in the central nervous system and in the muscle spindles . She retired on August 31, 1968 at the age of 61 . Their five children, three sons and two daughters, became doctors. The son Berndt Schubel (* 1937) is a qualified cardiac surgeon in Berlin. Anne Lise Schubel died at the age of 81 and was buried next to her husband in Greifswald's old cemetery .
