Robert Bonnet

Robert Bonnet (born February 17, 1851 in Augsburg , † October 13, 1921 in Würzburg ) was a German anatomist.

Life

Bonnet studied medicine at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and the Georg August University in Göttingen . He became a member of the Corps Suevia Munich (1871) and the Corps Brunsviga Göttingen (1872). In 1876 he was promoted to Dr. med. PhD . From 1878 to 1880 he was a prosector . In 1880 he became an assistant at the Anatomical Institute in Munich. In this he also completed his habilitation . In 1881 he was appointed professor at the Royal Central Veterinary School in Munich. In 1889 he became associate professor and successor to Philipp Stöhr at the University of Würzburg and in 1891 he moved to the Hessian Ludwig University as full professor of anatomy and director of the anatomical institute. In 1895 he became a professor at the Royal University of Greifswald . In 1904 he was elected to the Academy of Sciences in Göttingen . In 1906/07 he was its rector . In 1907 he moved to the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn . In March 1913 he reported on their anatomical teaching collection. Oskar Polano is a son-in-law.
