Anne Petrea Vik

Anne Petrea Vik (born January 8, 1933 in Trondenes , today Harstad municipality ) is a Norwegian politician of the Senterpartiet (Sp). From 1989 to 1990 she was the country's minister of agriculture.

Origin and education

Vik is the daughter of the farmers Jarle and Jette Kristiansen. Between 1950 and 1951 and 1968 she worked as a substitute teacher. Until 1954 she attended a home economics school. From 1955 to 2001 she ran a farm.

Political career

Between 1971 and 1975 Vik was a member of the local parliament of Kvæfjord . From 1979 to 1995 she was a member of the Fylkesting of Troms Province . From 1987 she was the group chairman of the Sp. Between 1995 and 1999 she was finally Vice Mayor of Kvæfjord.

From 1979 to 1983 she was part of the party executive. From 1979 to 1984 she was also the chair of the Norwegian Farmers' Association. Between 1987 and 1995 she was a member of the Sp board in Troms.

On October 16, 1989, she was appointed Minister of Agriculture in the Syse government. She held the post until the end of the government on November 3, 1990.
