Lars Gunnar Lie
Lars Gunnar Lie (born September 18, 1938 in Fjell ) is a Norwegian politician of the Kristelig Folkeparti (KrF). He was his country's transport minister from 1989 to 1990.
Life
Lie studied geophysics until 1967 . He then worked as a teacher in Bergen and Førde until 1985 . Between 1975 and 1983 Lars Gunnar Lie was a member of Førde's local parliament. Last year he was the mayor of the municipality.
Lie moved into the Norwegian parliament in Storting for the first time in 1985 for the province of Sogn og Fjordane , where he had a total of four legislative terms until 2001. Between October 1997 and March 2000 he was the chairman of the finance committee. From October 1993 to March 2000 he was also a member of the committee of the KrF.
On October 16, 1989, he was appointed Minister of Transport in the Syse government. He held this post until the resignation of the government on November 3, 1990.
