Anneli-Marie Riss

Anneli-Marie Riße (born June 22, 1998 ; † August 14, 2015 in Lampersdorf ) was a German student who was kidnapped and murdered in August 2015.

Life

Anneli-Marie Riße, the daughter of a civil engineer and contractor and a property and property manager, grew up in Robschütz , Klipphausen , the youngest of three children. At the time of her death she was a student at the Geschwister-Scholl-Gymnasium in Nossen .

Kidnapping and death

The entrepreneur's daughter was out on the evening of August 13, 2015 with her bicycle and the family dog. On a dirt road not far from her parents' house, she was kidnapped by two men, an unemployed cook who was 39 at the time of the crime and a 61-year-old precious metal trader, and a little later she was brought to a farm in Lampersdorf where the 39-year-old used to live, where she was trapped in a barn held, anesthetized with ether , and tied with cable ties. For fear of a later identification by Anneli-Marie Riße, the younger of the two perpetrators strangled her the next day.

After evaluating DNA traces at the kidnapping site and following telephone monitoring , the perpetrators were arrested on August 17th in Burgebrach and Dresden . On the basis of information from the older perpetrator, the corpse was found on the same day by police forces in the yard in Lampersdorf. According to the findings of the investigative authorities, the younger of the two perpetrators was looking for potential kidnapping victims months before the crime, tried unsuccessfully to blackmail a food company and found out more about Anneli-Marie Riss, among other things on Facebook .

Reactions

The tragic end of the crime was reported around the world. The case was presented in an English-language article by Deutsche Welle and placed in a row with other kidnapping cases in Germany in recent decades, namely with the son of the entrepreneur Reinhold Würth in the same year, the kidnapping and murder of Maria Bögerl in 2010, the The kidnapping and murder of Jakob von Metzler in 2002 and the kidnapping and murder of the businessman Jakub Fiszman in 1996.

Trial of the perpetrators

He had another partial confession read out through his defense attorney on the first day of the trial. The trial was scheduled for 15 days and a total of 21 witnesses were to be heard. On September 5, 2016, the Dresden Regional Court (judgment of September 5, 2016, Az. 1 Ks 160 Js 40318/15) sentenced the older offender to eight and a half years imprisonment and the younger to life, whereby it determined that the guilt was particularly serious. The Federal Court of Justice rejected the perpetrators' appeal against the judgment by decision of June 27, 2017, thereby confirming the judgment.

Anneli-Marie Foundation

At the beginning of 2016, the parents founded the Anneli-Marie Foundation , which, among other things, aims to promote young people and support families who have had to experience traumatic experiences. The Dresden band Crazy Birds released a song in memory of the girl with the title “And I know that you see us” .

Risses father now produces a rosé wine on his own winery in memory of his daughter named Rosa-Lii ; Part of the proceeds will go to the Anneli-Marie Foundation .
