Anneliese Ratzenböck

Anneliese Ratzenböck , b. Polz (born July 18, 1934 in Oftering ) is an Austrian journalist and author . Among other things, she wrote under the name-shortening pseudonym Anneliese Röck . She is the wife of the former governor Josef Ratzenböck .

Life

She is one of three children in a family of teachers and spent her childhood in various places in Upper Austria . After attending elementary school in Bruck an der Aschach and the secondary school in Peuerbach she graduated in 1950 in Vöcklabruck the Teacher Training Institute of the Franciscan Sisters of Vöcklabruck and graduated there 1,954th

Also in 1954 she married Josef Ratzenböck . The marriage has two children. Until the birth of her second child, she worked for the tax office in Linz and from 1957 she devoted herself to household chores and child-rearing .

Journalistic and literary activity

In the 1960s she wrote short stories under the pseudonym Anneliese Röck for the press and literature agency Kalmer in London and soon a story was printed in the Saturday supplement of the Upper Austrian News supplied by this agency . As a result, she wrote travel feuilletons for the newspaper as a freelancer and dealt with school, upbringing and women's problems. From 1973 she was a permanent contributor and wrote a Monday column with the title Nothing for Men , later Also for Men . Over the course of several years, articles on the topics of women, work, family and household were also made in the women's radio broadcast by Upper Austria Radio , which was then headed by Inge Jalkotzy .

When publishing her literary works, she usually worked with publishers based in Upper Austria, including the Wimmer publishing house, the Upper Austrian state publishing house, Veritas and the Ennsthaler publishing house.

Her social engagement was for a long time with her function as regional chairwoman of Upper Austria. Gold hood women linked. She has received several awards for this. Cultural engagement

In May 1976, Anneliese Ratzenböck took over the task of chairing 120 groups of gold bonnets, headscarves and hat groups with around 2000 members in a national organization. When she left the management function, the number of members had grown to around 18,000 women and she was awarded the culture medal of the State of Upper Austria for her cultural commitment.
