Annunaki is an American metal band formed in Bayonne , New Jersey in 2005 .

history

The band was founded in late 2005 by drummer Kevin Kuzma, guitarist John Blicharz and bassist Karl Odenwalder. Together they looked for a suitable singer and found him a short time later in Tony Stanziano. In the same year they recorded the EP Incarcerate in Rapture .

The debut album Throne of the Annunaki was recorded together with Eric Kvortek at Trax East Studios ( God Forbid , Symphony X , Sinai Beach ) and mastered by West-West Side Music with Alan Douches ( Suffocation , Cannibal Corpse , Krisiun , Nile ).

After the album was released, appearances followed with bands such as Deicide , Carnivore , Immortal , Dying Fetus , Possessed, Rumpelstiltskin Grinder , Horna , Mortician , Anal Cunt , 1349 , Master , Nachtmystium , Vital Remains , Embalmer , Skeletonwitch , Desolation , Painmuseum , Agent Steel or Temple of Brutality . The band also made an appearance at the Milwaukee Metalfest in 2007.

style

The band plays a mix of Thrash, Death and Black Metal, comparing the band to bands from these three genres. Some of these are Morbid Angel , Vader , Cannibal Corpse, Immolation , Sodom , Kreator , Protector , Immortal, and Dissection . The songs are kept simple, but are very variable in their sound.
