Antonio Francisco Jaca

António Francisco Jaca SVD (born November 3, 1963 in Quessua , Angola ) is an Angolan religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Benguela .

Life

António Francisco Jaca was ordained on September 29, 1990 by the Bishop of Malanje , Eugénio Salessu , as a priest of the Steyler Missionaries .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on June 6, 2007 appointed Bishop of Caxito . The Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples , Ivan Dias , ordained him episcopal on July 22nd of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Damião António Franklin , Archbishop of Luanda , and Luis María Pérez de Onraita Aguirre , Bishop of Malanje. He was officially introduced to this office on October 14, 2007.

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Benguela on March 26, 2018 . The inauguration took place on June 9th of the same year.
