Ante Budimir (born July 22, 1991 in Zenica , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Croatian football player . The striker is under contract with RCD Mallorca .

Career

society

In 2008 Ante Budimir switched from NK Radnik Velika Gorica to the youth team at LASK Linz . After he left the club in September 2008, he joined NK Radnik Sesvete . After a year with the Croatian second division club HNK Gorica . For the 2010/11 season he moved to the Croatian first division club Inter Zaprešić , for whom he made his debut on February 26, 2011 in a 0-0 win against Hajduk Split . On March 11, 2011, he scored his first goal in professional football in a 4-2 win at NK Lokomotiva Zagreb . From 2013 to 2014 he played one season for league rivals NK Lokomotiva Zagreb.

For the 2014/15 season , Budimir moved to the German second division FC St. Pauli , for whom he made his debut on August 8, 2014 against VfR Aalen, for 950,000 euros , making him the second most expensive player in the club's history . During the season he came on 19 missions without scoring a goal. For the second team he came on two missions in the Regionalliga Nord . For the 2015/16 season Budimir was initially loaned to the Italian second division club FC Crotone until the end of the season, but was already committed to the fixed transfer fee of one million euros at the end of March 2016. During the season he scored 16 goals in 40 league games, helping his team to move up to Serie A by finishing second in the table .

For the 2016/17 season , Budimir moved to league rivals Sampdoria Genoa , with whom he signed a four-year contract. In the 2017/18 season he was loaned to FC Crotone and then firmly committed again. In January 2019 he was awarded to the Spanish second division club RCD Mallorca until the end of the season. With the club he achieved promotion to the Primera División and was firmly committed to the new season .

National team

In autumn 2012 Budimir came on two missions for the Croatian U21 national team in the qualification for the U21 European Championship 2013 against Georgia (1: 1) and Spain (0: 6).
