Anton Ilg

Anton Ilg (born March 30, 1919 in Geislingen an der Steige ; † March 19, 1995 in Göppingen ) was a German mechanic and politician ( CDU ). From 1960 to 1980 Ilg was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg ( MdL ).

Anton Ilg, who trained as a machinist and was temporarily worked as a toolmaker, made between 1939 and 1945 his Reichsarbeitsdienst and his military service and was in 1948 his master's certificate . From 1952 he was chairman of the works council of Maschinenfabrik Geislingen (MAG), which had been a branch of Schnellpressenfabrik AG Heidelberg since 1929 . In addition, he was involved in the Kolping family and IG Metall .

For the CDU, Ilg sat in the municipal council of the city of Geislingen since 1953 and in the district council of the Göppingen district since 1959 . In the elections to the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg, Ilg was able to win the direct mandate in the state electoral district of Göppingen II in 1960 , 1964 , 1968 and 1972 and in 1976 the direct mandate in the newly tailored state electoral district of Geislingen .

In 1977 he was honored with the Great Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany and was awarded the Medal of Merit of the State of Baden-Württemberg in 1984 .
