Apote ( also : Apote Norte ) is a town in the Cochabamba department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Apote is a village in the canton of El Paso in the municipality of Quillacollo in the province of Quillacollo of the same name and borders in the west on the district of Apote (El Paso), which belongs to El Paso . Apote Norte is located at an altitude of 2718 m two kilometers east of the confluence of the Río Pihuisi in the Río Mal Pasomayu , which flows from the slopes of the Cordillera of Cochabamba into the valley of Cochabamba and ten kilometers downstream into the Río Rocha .

Apote is located nineteen kilometers by road west of Cochabamba , the capital of the department.

The 1,657-kilometer national road Ruta 4 , which begins in the far west on the Chilean border at Tambo Quemado , runs through Cochabamba and Quillacollo . It leads across the whole country via Quillacollo , Colcapirhua , Cochabamba and Villa Tunari to Santa Cruz and ends in the southeastern part of the country on the border with Brazil at the city of Puerto Quijarro .

From Cochabamba follow the Ruta 4 west for ten kilometers to Colcapirhua and from there the road "Avenida Reducto" two kilometers north to Tiquipaya . On the southern edge of Tiquipaya, follow "Avenida Cochabamba" two kilometers in a north-westerly direction and then turn north to Apote .
