The Aprilia SMV 750 Dorsoduro is a motorcycle from the Italian motorcycle manufacturer Aprilia . The Supermoto was presented on November 7th 2007 at the EICMA two-wheeler fair in Milan. Sales started in May 2008.

technology

The Dorsoduro is technically based on the Aprilia SL 750 Shiver naked bike , from which 65% of all components are derived, and the SXV 550 Supermoto racing motorcycle.

It is driven by a liquid-cooled two - cylinder engine with a displacement of 750 cm³. The cylinder bank angle of the V-engine is 90 °. The four-stroke engine generates a nominal output of 67 kW (91 hp) and a torque of 82 Nm. The four valves per cylinder are controlled by two overhead camshafts . The throttle valve control and injection are controlled electronically differently by means of three characteristic fields, so-called "mappings" (touring, sport, rain). The engine is started electrically.

The chassis is built on a tubular steel frame with aluminum profiles and has an aluminum swing arm at the rear and an upside-down telescopic fork from Showa, since 2010 from Sachs Bikes with 43 mm sliding tubes. The power is converted by a six-speed gearbox, the secondary drive by a chain. The clutch is operated hydraulically. A double disc brake with four-piston radial brake calipers (in the "Factory" version from Brembo ) decelerates on the front tire, and a disc brake with single-piston brake caliper at the rear. An anti-lock braking system is offered as an option. The motorcycle accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 215 km / h.

The exhaust gas aftertreatment is carried out by a regulated catalytic converter and falls below the emission limit values of the EURO3 pollutant class . The exhaust system is made of stainless steel. The exhaust manifolds open under the seat in a common silencer before they split up again into two tailpipes .

Sales description

Dorsoduro refers to a district in Venice. The Italian term translates as "hard back", which refers to the fact that the named district is one of the few in Venice to be located on solid rock. Aprilia's headquarters are in Noale, in the Veneto region , around 30 km from Venice .

Reviews

“Because as aggressively - and attractively - styled the new Aprilia looks on the outside, as conventionally it behaves at the corner on the country road. And that in a positive sense. Their calm, easily calculable driving behavior should convince less extremely oriented supermoto enthusiasts. "

- Peter Mayer : Motorrad Online

“It should be mentioned that the V2 is not a pure supermoto sports device. This is countered by the almost 210 kilos driving weight, the comfortable adjustment of the suspension elements for an athlete and the relaxed seating position on the narrow cushion behind the only 12 liter tank. "

- Norbert Meiszies : Bikerszene.de

“It's a little difficult to compare it to other motorcycles. There is no such thing yet. The Dorsoduro is somewhere between the Ducati Hypermotard , the 990 SM from KTM and the Kawasaki Versys . Not as aggressive from the start as the first mentioned, but cooler and fancier than the Versys in terms of appearance. "

- Nils Müller : 1000ps.de

"The Italo bride was configured a bit too loosely for real sports fans, the low entry-level price could not make up for her comparatively high weight and the relatively soft suspension."

- Jörg Lohse : Motorbike
