action

Part 1 - O Cabelo de Clara (Clara's hair):

In 1980, Clara and her husband Adalberto were invited to Aunt Lucia's birthday party. Her friend Fátima has fallen in love with Clara's brother Antonio. Clara's three children give a short speech to the jubilee and Clara's husband gives a speech to his wife. Clara successfully fought breast cancer in 1979 and is now considered cured. Her hair is growing back, she's wearing a pixie . The guests celebrate the jubilee and begin to dance, the scenery changes into the present. Clara is now over 60, has been widowed for 17 years, has long hair and still lives in the apartment in the Aquarius residential complex , where she also raised her children. She is a respected journalist who has published on musicians. She lives her life alone, supported by the elderly housekeeper Ladjane; occasionally she gives interviews to the press. One day the long-time caretaker Geraldo and his successor Diego are at the door. It turns out that her real estate company, Bonfim, bought all of the apartments in the house. Clara is the last owner of the apartment. If she sells too, the house can be demolished and replaced with a new building. Clara refuses to sell.

Part 2 - O Amor de Clara (Clara's love):

Diego stubbornly tries to buy, but Clara tears up his offers unread. On the street she is approached by the son of a former tenant of Aquarius , who describes her as selfish because she does not want to move out. Lifeguard Roberval, who likes her, protects her. Mattresses are suddenly brought to the apartment over Claras via Bonfim and nobody wants to tell her why. Some time later she receives a visit from her three children, who want to persuade her to give up her apartment. Old conflicts, especially between Clara and her only daughter, break out. It turns out that Bonfim got the children to “work” their own mother and sell the apartment for the offered 2 million real BRL (approx. 520,000 euros). At night there is a loud party and orgy over Clara's apartment. Clara counters with loud music and a one night stand with an unknown young man. The next day the stairwell is covered with a pot, but is cleaned by a company. Clara has the blue house painted white on her own.

Part 3 - O Câncer de Clara (Clara's cancer):

Things are still going on in the house, so one day there will be a kind of service in the building. The orgy's mattresses are burned and Clara confronts investor Diego. He shows that Clara has not yet met him and does not know what he is capable of. Clara meets with her friend Rinaldo, who works for a newspaper. Although he makes it clear to her that Diego is one of his extensive relatives, he also gives Clara a tip on where to find incriminating material about Bonfim . Clara goes on a search with her friend and lawyer Cleide. One day they stop two former Bonfim employees and tell her that a few weeks ago, at the behest of the company, they were supposed to place something in the two apartments about Clara. With the help of Roberval, Cleide and nephew Tomés, Clara goes into the two apartments and finds termite nests , where the animals have already attacked the walls. The group visits Geraldo and Diego in their company and presents the incriminating documents that Clara and Cleide have found. A confrontation ensues in which it becomes clear that the businessmen have neither decency nor morals. Clara admits that she would rather give them cancer than have one herself, opens a suitcase that she has brought and empties a swarm of termites on the table. The animals begin to spread in space.
