Araban ( Kurdish کەلە Kele ) is a city and also the name of a district in the Turkish province of Gaziantep in southeastern Anatolia . The city of Araban has 10,063 and the district 32,091 inhabitants (as of 2012). Araban is located in the north of the province and borders the provinces of Adıyaman , Kahramanmaraş and Şanlıurfa . The city is located on the Araban Plain near the Euphrates and Karasu rivers . The core of the city of Araban is the fortress Raban, which is also called Kale-i Zerrin and is the name of the city.
