Arkadiusz Okroj (born May 27, 1967 in Kartuzy , Poland ) is a Polish clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Pelplin .

Life

Arkadiusz Okroj studied philosophy and Catholic theology at the seminary in Pelplin . He received on 6 June 1992 the bishop of Pelplin, January Szlaga , the sacrament of Holy Orders .

Okroj then worked as a parish vicar in Drzycim and Wygoda . In 1997 he continued his studies at the Catholic University of Lublin , where he received his doctorate in spirituality in 2002 . From 2000 to 2010 Arkadiusz Okroj was spiritual at the seminary in Pelplin before he became pastor in Kiełpino . Pope Benedict XVI awarded him the title of Honorary Chaplain to His Holiness in 2009 . In 2010 he also became director of the sub-commission of the Polish Bishops' Conference for private forms of consecrated life and in 2017 head of the priestly training of the diocese of Pelplin.

On 12 February 2019 Pope appointed him Francis to the titular of Cufruta and auxiliary bishop in Pelplin. The bishop of Pelplin, Ryszard Kasyna , ordained him on March 2nd of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Poland, Archbishop Salvatore Pennacchio , and the Bishop of Toruń , Wiesław Śmigiel .
