Arnold Freshness

Arnold Freshness (born December 18, 1869 in Düsseldorf , † January 31, 1944 in Pullach ) was a German sculptor and genre painter .

Life

Arnold Freshness was the son of the landscape painter Heinrich Ludwig Freshness, from whom he also received his first artistic training. He studied from 1884 to 1887 at the Düsseldorf School of Applied Arts and, after subsequent long trips, like his father before, from 1890 to the end of 1896 at the Düsseldorf Art Academy sculpture with August Wittig and Karl Janssen . In addition to sculpture, Arnold Frisch also worked in the field of painting, like his father and younger brother Emil Frisch .

In addition to numerous larger grave monuments in the Rhineland , Westphalia , Alsace and Bremen , Freshness created "a number of portraits of busts of well-known personalities".
