Arzleiten is a place in the Ausseerland of the Salzkammergut in Styria and belongs to the Altaussee municipality in the Liezen district .

geography

The place is located 35 kilometers west of Liezen , just under 1 km south of Altaussee . The Rotte is on the left bank above the Altausseer Traun , at the foot of the Plattenkogel  ( 833  m above sea level ), the small valley mountain on the southwestern bank of the Altausseer See , at around 725  m above sea level. History and nature

The place name already appears in 1280 as a Erzliut , and probably refers to a mining village of Ausseer salt hill .

The Dachstein-Salzkammergut landscape protection area  (LSG 14a) begins on the eastern edge of the village .
