History and infrastructure

Here was - at today's municipal boundary - the old brine office of Saline Bad Aussee , in the brine from the Ausseer Salzberg was cached along the line.

The old road to Altaussee used to lead only via Obertressen , then there was also one from the market via today's Praunfalk and the Grabenbühel; it was only laid along the Traun in the late 19th century. Otherwise the Traun Valley was completely uninhabited here at the time.

The place name Hollau did not appear on official maps until the 20th century, while Im Graben was probably a very old name.

The Roseggerheim was a youth home before and until the war.
