Atlee Anthony Mahorn (born October 27, 1965 in Clarendon Parish ) is a former Canadian athlete of Jamaican origin. He had specialized in the 200-meter run and was also used in his country's 4-by-100-meter relay .

He completed his first international assignment for Canada at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 1983 . There he was eliminated from the 4-by-100-meter relay in advance. At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles Mahorn managed to make it into the semi-finals over 200 m. In 1985 he won the silver medal in the 200-meter run at the Universiade in Kobe .

In 1986 Mahorn won the Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh over 200 m, beating Ben Johnson among others . A year later, at the World Athletics Championships in Rome in 1987 , he finished eighth over the same distance. With the season, fourth just missed a medal. In 1988 in Seoul , he achieved his best result at the Olympic Games when he was fifth in the 200-meter run. With the season he came in seventh place.

At the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo in 1991 , he won the bronze medal over 200 m in 20.49 s behind Michael Johnson and Frank Fredericks . In the 100-meter run , Mahorn was eliminated in the semifinals. He also started in Tokyo for the Canadian 4 x 100 meter relay, which finished eighth in the final, but was only used in the qualifying round. Also at the Olympic Games in 1992 Mahorn started again in these three disciplines, but did not reach the final in any competition.

At the end of the 1992 season he announced his retirement from competitive sport, but returned to the track again in 1993 for the World Athletics Championships in Stuttgart . There he won the bronze medal as the final runner in the relay together with Robert Esmie , Glenroy Gilbert , Bruny Surin . The quartet set a new Canadian national record with a time of 37.83 s.

Atlee Mahorn is 1.87 m tall and weighed 80 kg when he was active. He studied political science at the University of California at Berkeley .
