Augustine Bader

Augustinus Bader (born August 20, 1959 in Augsburg ) is a German medical and biomedical scientist. Bader works in the field of stem cell research and in his working group, which is located in the Biotechnological-Biomedical Center (BBZ) of the University of Leipzig , deals with tissue engineering (tissue engineering in conjunction with cells).

Life

Augustinus Bader was born in Augsburg in 1959 and initially studied medicine at the Università Abbruzese degli Studi in Chieti . He finished his studies at the Julius Maximilians University in Würzburg . After completing his studies, he worked at the Physiological Institute of the University of Würzburg, then Bader was in the People's Republic of China in a department for severe burns. In 2001 he was appointed endowed professor for "Cardiovascular Tissue Engineering" at the MHH. In 2002 he was professor for "Tissue Engineering" at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen .

Bader has held the professorship for cell technology and applied stem cell biology at the Biotechnological-Biomedical Center of the University of Leipzig since 2003 .

Bader is the initiator of the international world congress for regenerative medicine in Leipzig .
