Augusto De Luca: Naples

Augusto De Luca (born July 1, 1955 in Naples ) is an Italian artist and photographer .

Live and act

After graduating from high school, Augusto De Luca completed his studies in law . He became a professional photographer in the 1970s, devoting himself to research and traditional photography. Some art critics believe that his style particularly emphasizes the essential parts of photography. In addition to his realistic photographs, there are also some that are reminiscent of metaphysical art.

De Luca is known as a national and international artist and has exhibited his work in Italy and abroad. He is the author of several record covers, advertising photos and photographic books. His works can be found in private and public collections, e.g. B. in the national library of Paris , Rome Municipal Photographic Archives, International Polaroid Collection (USA) and in the Musée de la Photographie de la Communauté française à Charleroi .

He has also taught photography at the Montecitorio Club in the Italian Parliament. His work was exhibited in the Camera dei deputati in 1995 . I.a. visited Carlo Azeglio Ciampi , Nilde Iotti (President Camera dei deputati) and Giorgio Napolitano its exhibitions. De Luca realized seven different photographs for telephone cards of Naples , Paris , Dublin , Berlin and Brussels for Telecom Italia with a total print run of 19 million copies.

In 1996 De Luca and Ennio Morricone received the “Città di Roma” award for the book Roma Nostra .
