Augusto José Zini Filho

Augusto José Zini Filho (born November 26, 1932 in Poços de Caldas , Minas Gerais , Brazil , † November 16, 2006 ) was Bishop of Limeira .

Life

Augusto José Zini Filho studied Philosophy and Catholic Theology at the São José Seminary in Rio de Janeiro . He received on 29 June 1959, the sacrament of Holy Orders . Zini Filho was on Seraphicum in Rome in specialized pastoral theology doctorate .

Then Augusto José Zini Filho became pastor of the parish of São Sebastião in Bento Ribeiro . He was also director of the Colégio João XXIII in Rio de Janeiro. Zini Filho then worked for the Congregation for Bishops for five years .

On 13 July 1994 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Megalopolis in Proconsulari and auxiliary bishop in Sao Sebastiao do Rio de Janeiro . The Archbishop of São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro, Cardinal Eugênio de Araújo Sales , donated him episcopal ordination on September 8 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the auxiliary bishops in São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro, João d'Avila Moreira Lima and Narbal da Costa Stencel .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Limeira on January 22, 2003. The inauguration took place on March 16 of the same year.
