Aurore Clément (* 12. October 1945 as Marie-Thérèse Aurore Clément Louise in Soissons ) is a French actress .

life and career

After the early death of her father, the farmer's daughter looked after her family at the age of 16. After her sister's fatal accident, she went to Paris as a mannequin . Louis Malle spotted her on the cover of Elle magazine and gave her a role in the 1974 film Lacombe, Lucien . Numerous films followed, many of which were just as problematic. In addition, she became a respected theater actress.

Aurore Clément is married to Dean Tavoularis , whom she met while filming Apocalypse Now . With Sofia Coppola , the daughter of Francis Ford Coppola , she directed the international television production Marie Antoinette .

In 2018 she was accepted into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences , which awards the Oscars every year.
