The defending champions were Rodney Heath and Randolph Lycett .
Charles Dixon and James Parke won the final against Alfred Beamish and Gordon Lowe .
James Parke also won the individual competition .
It is true for the first time in eight-year Australasian Championship history that no Australian tennis player is true both in the winning team and in the final.
