Siegburg Mayor's Office

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Siegburg mayor's office was initially one of nine Prussian mayor's offices into which the Siegburg district, formed in 1816 in the administrative district of Cologne, was administratively divided. In 1822 the mayor's office in Siegburg came to the then newly formed Rhine Province . The city of Siegburg and the municipalities of Troisdorf and Wolsdorf were under the administration of the mayor's office . Due to the "City Code for the Rhine Province" enacted in 1856, the administration was divided in 1857 into the responsibility of the "City of Siegburg", which subsequently became the city administration, and the "Mayor's Office Siegburg-Land" (also "Land Mayor's Siegburg") ) for the municipalities of Troisdorf and Wolsdorf.

On April 1, 1899, the community Wolsdorf was incorporated into the city of Siegburg. With the formation of the independent Troisdorf mayor, the Troisdorf community left the Siegburg-Land mayor, which was dissolved at the same time.

After the First World War , the mayor's office was occupied by Allied soldiers. These remained until January 29, 1926.
