Until the beginning of the 19th century, the administrative area of the Troisdorf mayor was part of the Blankenberg office in the Duchy of Berg , which opened up in 1806 in connection with the formation of the Rhine Confederation in the Grand Duchy of Berg . In 1808, the French administration under Napoléon Bonaparte Troisdorf assigned the Mairie Siegburg in the canton of Siegburg , Arrondissement Mülheim , Département Rhine in the Grand Duchy of Berg.
Due to the resolutions at the Congress of Vienna in 1815, the Rhineland was assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia . Under the Prussian administration, administrative districts , districts and mayor's offices as well as associated communities were formed in 1816 . The municipality Troisdorf initially belonged to the mayor Siegburg in county Siegburg (1825 Siegkreis renamed) in the administrative district of Cologne . This initially belonged to the province of Jülich-Kleve-Berg , which was combined with the province of Grand Duchy of Lower Rhine in 1822 to form the Rhine province . After Siegburg received city rights in 1857, Troisdorf belonged together with the municipality of Wolsdorf to the Siegburg-Land mayor. Wolsdorf was incorporated into Siegburg in 1899, the mayor's office in Siegburg-Land was dissolved and the mayor's office in Troisdorf was re-established.
Like all the mayor's offices in the Rhine Province, the Troisdorf mayor's office was renamed “Amt Troisdorf” in 1927.
