Büttelbronn is a district of the municipality of Langenaltheim in the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district in Middle Franconia .

Geographical location

Immediately north of the parish village is the Saubuckel ( 533  m above sea  level ), about 1.5 south-west of the Steinbass ( 572  m above sea level ).

history

In the geographical statistical-topographical lexicon of Franconia (1799) the place is described as follows: “Bittelbrunn, Protestant parish village, is 4 hours from Eichstätt on the border between the county of Pappenheim and the Palatinate-Neuburgische Lande, of which 4 subjects belong to the Eichstättischen care and caste -Amt Mörnsheim belong. There are several needles there. "

With the community edict (19th century), Büttelbronn became a politically independent community, to which Mauthaus belonged. On May 1, 1978 this was incorporated into Langenaltheim.
