Blaschewitz (Polish: Błażejowice Dolne ) is a village in Upper Silesia . Blaschewitz is located in the municipality of Oberglogau ( Głogówek ) in the powiat Prudnicki (Neustadt OS district) in the Polish Opole Voivodeship .

Blaschewitz is five kilometers northwest of the municipality of Oberglogau , 19 kilometers east of the district town of Prudnik (Neustadt OS) and 34 kilometers south of the voivodeship capital Opole (Opole).

history

The place was mentioned in a document in 1358 as "Blazycowicz" and in 1460 as "Blazeiowitz". The place name should be derived from the personal name Blasius . In 1865, the place had 13 farmers, 15 gardeners and 8 cottages. At that time Blaschewitz had a Catholic school with 85 students and was parish in Wiese-Pauliner .

In the referendum in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921, 210 eligible voters voted to remain with Germany and 14 for Poland. Blaschewitz stayed with the German Empire . On August 18, 1936, the place was renamed Niederblasien . Until 1945 the place was in the district of Neustadt OS

In 1945 the previously German place came under Polish administration and was renamed Błażejowice Dolne and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship and since 1999 it has belonged to the powiat Prudnicki . On April 22, 2009 , German was introduced as the second official language in the community of Oberglogau , which Blaschewitz belongs to. On December 1, 2009, the place was also given the official German place name Blaschewitz .

  • Path chapel with bell tower from the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. In a niche on the facade there is a baroque Nepomuk figure and inside a figure of Saint George and an angel figure.
