Gothic brick buildings / distribution in the southern Netherlands

There are a large number of brick Gothic buildings in the Netherlands , in almost all regions. The area south of the parallel arms of the Rhine and the Meuse connects to Belgian brick Gothic in the south and to the Rhenish brick Gothic in the east . In both cases, the national border is relatively new, the German-Dutch border was only established at the Congress of Vienna in 1815, the Belgian-Dutch border only when Belgium split off from the United Netherlands in 1830.

All places in Europe with Gothic brick buildings are registered here, including less than 15% with Mediterranean brick styles.
