Station of the year

The station of the year award has been given annually since 2004 by the rail alliance Allianz pro Schiene . Up until 2014, one train station each had been awarded in the categories “ large city train station ” (city with more than 100,000 inhabitants) and “small town train station ” (city with less than 100,000 inhabitants). In 2012, for the first time, a “Special Tourism Prize” was awarded to the Bad Schandau National Park Station .

The jury includes the passenger associations Pro Bahn , Verkehrsclub Deutschland (VCD), Deutscher Bahnkunden-Verband (DBV), Allianz pro Schiene and ACE Auto Club Europa .
