Baljci from 1991-1995
Between 1991 and 1995 Baljci was on the territory of the then internationally unrecognized de facto government Republic of Serbian Krajina (Serbo-Croatian Republika Srpska Krajina / Република Српска Крајина).
This was in 1995 by the Operation Storm incorporated into the Croatian territory and therefore the territorial sovereignty of Croatia established.
" The 'storm' is considered to be one of the cruelest operations in the Yugoslav war. It was carried out by the Croatian army and police with the backing of the USA against the self-proclaimed Republic of Serbian Krajina. As a result, around 250,000 Serbs had to leave their homes in Croatia and to Flee Serbia. "
After the collapse of the Republika Srpska Krajina , the people of Baljci were forced to leave their homeland.
Baljci from 1995-2001
In 1995 the population development reached a sad low point. Due to the exodus of the population and the complete destruction of the infrastructure in 1995 by Operation Oluja in Baljci, the population was deprived of their livelihood and thus prevented from returning.
