With the clover leaves he was fifth in the 2005/06 season , but came in the following year with the ambitious club only to four appearances in the first half of the season. During the 2006/07 season , in January 2007, he was loaned by the relegation-threatened league competitor Rot-Weiss Essen as a reinforcement.
For the 2007/08 season Barut made a free transfer to Turkish first division club Kasımpaşa Istanbul , for whom he made his debut on November 10, 2007 (12th match day) in the 1: 3 home defeat against Gençlerbirliği Ankara , played 20 league games and also scored one goal (on 4.
