Barpak ( Nepali नेपाली ; also Warpak ) is a village and a Village Development Committee in Nepal in the Gorkha district at an altitude of 1940 m .
Barpak is located in the foothills south of the Manaslu massif on the eastern bank of the Daraudi River , in the immediate vicinity of the epicenter of the 2015 earthquake . The Indian Army is therefore setting up an operational base here for the work on site.
Residents
Barpak is inhabited by members of the Ghale , Gurung , Pariyar and Sunwar .
At the 2011 census, Barpak had 4985 inhabitants (2204 male) in 1069 households.
