Chumchet ( Nepali चुमचेत ) is a village and a Village Development Committee (VDC) in Nepal in the Gorkha district .

The VDC Chumchet is located in the lower Tsum valley above the confluence of the Siyar Khola in the Budhigandaki . VDC Chhaikampar is located up the valley . In the west the VDC borders on the VDC Bihi , in the north on Tibet . On the western edge of the area lies the summit of the Chamar .

Residents

At the 2011 census, the VDC Chumchet had 928 inhabitants (434 of them male) in 266 households.
