- In an interview about his album and the songs on it, Slash stated:
“I really wanted Fergie as the singer for Beautiful Dangerous . I think she's as good as a rock singer, or even better, as a pop singer. I heard Fergie interpret the rock classic Barracuda , the old Heart song, in her own rocky way, and I was so excited about this interpretation that I knew afterwards that Fergie was exactly the right singer for Beautiful Dangerous . [...]
[...] I had a few appearances with her when she sang Barracuda and Sweet Child o 'Mine . She's one of the most phenomenal and hottest rock and roll singers I've ever heard. '"
Slash told The Sun , “The title starts with some of the music I wrote for a strip bar scene and it made me think of Fergie. I'm a guy and there is nothing more erotic than seeing a cute girl sing rock 'n' roll songs. "
Commercial win
Although Beautiful Dangerous was not released as a single in the US, the title reached number 11 on the US Top Heatseekers chart and number 58 on the Canadian Hot 100 . In February 2011, Beautiful Dangerous reached number 90 in the German single charts .

Slash co-directed the music video with Fergie on August 27, 2010. Slash stated, "[The] entire concept for the music video was Fergie's idea." The music video for Beautiful Dangerous had its world premiere on October 28, 2010 on the music website Vevo .
