Belbari ( Nepali बेलबारी Belbari ) is a city ( municipality ) in the eastern Terai of Nepal in the Morang district .

Belbari is on the Mahendra Rajmarg highway between Urlabari in the east and Itahari in the west.

The city was created in 2014 by merging the Village Development Committees Belbari and Kaseni . The urban area covers 70.1 km².

Residents

At the 2011 census, the VDCs that made up the city of Belbari had 31,647 inhabitants (14,556 of whom were male) in 7,515 households.
