Koshi Haraicha ( Nepali कोशी हरैंचा Koshi Haraicha ) was a city ( municipality ) in the eastern Terai of Nepal in the Morang district . In March 2017, Koshi Hataicha was incorporated into the newly created city of Sundar Haraicha .
Koshi Haraicha was on the Mahendra Rajmarg highway between Urlabari in the east and Itahari in the west. The city was created in 2014 by merging the Village Development Committees Haraicha , Indrapur and Mrigaulia . The urban area covered 64.2 km².
Residents
At the 2011 census, the VDCs, from which the town of Koshi Haraicha emerged, had 47,723 inhabitants (22,284 of them male) in 11,102 households.
